Rock Lounge and Hard Rock Hotel Marbella Bring a New Edition of Marbella Music Week

The countdown to the highlight of Marbella’s summer started last week as international concert promotors Rock Lounge and Hard Rock Hotel Marbella officially announced their program of events.

Attended by Rock Lounge CEO David Giles, along with Hard Rock Hotel General Manager Ignacio Gomez, Cristobal Garre from Marbella Town Hall/Nueva Andalucia, and international DJ David Penn, the Press Conference focussed on both The Jacksons in concert at the Marbella Arena on July 27, as well as the Heatwave series of pool parties at the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella from June 30.

David Giles outlined the schedule of events, with The Jacksons playing all of their best known hits, including including “ABC”, “Blame It On The Boogie”, “Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)” and “Can You Feel It.” with a full band, in a spectacular show at the Marbella Arena.

The Heatwave pool parties will feature some of the best known DJs and performers, including international DJ and House Music icon David Penn, famed for his residences at Pacha Ibiza and Defected. David also highlighted the future plans to make Marbella Music Week a major international music industry event over the coming years.

Ignacio Gomez spoke about how happy Hard Rock Hotel Marbella was to be working with Rock Lounge after their successful collaboration in bringing Sister Sledge and UB40 to Marbella last year. He also looked forward to the Heatwave pool parties at the hotel.

Nueva Andalucia’s Cristobal Garre mentioned that the series of events underlined how strong and varied the tourist industry in Marbella was, especially with live events such as these.

Finally, David Penn spoke, saying that he was looking forward to playing at Hard Rock Hotel Marbella this summer, especially as he has recently moved to the Coast!
