Korean pop sensation BTS took four of the big prizes at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Sunday night.
At the virtual ceremony, they picked up awards for best song – for their track “ Dynamite” , best group, best virtual live, and biggest fan base.
BTS edged out 5 Seconds of Summer, Blackpink, Chloe x Halle, CNCO and Little Mix for best group honours. The band’s first English-language track, “Dynamite,” won the best song prize over DaBaby’s “Rockstar (ft Roddy Ricch),” Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now,” Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s “Rain on Me,” Roddy Ricch’s “The Box” and The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.”
The Korean boyband accepted their prize via video link, and dedicated the win to their fans around the world.
Little Mix also got the award for best pop and made a plea to help out creative industries as they hosted the event, while Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards spoke about how music is suffering in lockdown:
Other winners include Lady Gaga for Best Artist and Coldplay for Best Rock.
